Tanabe-Sugano diagrams
Term energies for a dn ion in an octahedral crystal field, as a function of the field strength Δ and the Racah parameters B and C. Choose an ion to load its free-ion parameters, or enter your own. Free-ion Racah parameters are taken from B. N. Figgis and M. A. Hitchman, Ligand Field Theory and its Applications, Wiley-VCH, 2000, Table 5.3. These are free-ion values; the nephelauxetic effect reduces B in a complex to roughly 0.6-0.9 of the value listed.
